In an Emergency

For any life-threatening emergency, call 911 immediately.

For onsite assistance at Huntington Place, contact Venue Security:
313-877-8281

If you see a medical emergency or safety concern, notify the nearest ABC staff member or venue staff member immediately. Staff members are guaranteed to be in the ABC Lounge and at the Registration Desk during all show hours. 

Medical Emergencies

If someone nearby appears to need medical assistance:

• Call 911 if it is a life-threatening emergency
• Notify venue security or an ABC staff member immediately 
• Give emergency personnel space to assist 
• Do not move an injured person unless they are in immediate danger 
• Follow instructions from venue staff and first responders 

Fire Alarm, Evacuation, or Shelter-in-Place

If an alarm sounds or venue staff issue safety instructions:

• Remain calm 
• Follow venue staff directions immediately 
• Proceed to the nearest exit or designated shelter area 
• Do not re-enter the building until venue staff confirm it is safe 

Please avoid blocking hallways, exits, escalators, or doorways during an evacuation or emergency response.

Severe Weather or Shelter-in-Place Situations

If instructed to shelter in place:

• Move away from windows and exterior doors 
• Follow directions from venue staff and ABC staff 
• Remain in designated areas until further instructions are provided 

During Session or Production Delays

In the event of a technical or operational issue, please remain patient while venue and production teams work to resolve the situation.

Announcements and updates will be shared onsite and through the event app when possible.

Offsite Events & Transportation

For offsite networking events and transportation services:

• Follow instructions from venue staff, transportation staff, and ABC event staff 
• Remain with designated event transportation whenever possible 
• If delays occur, ABC staff will provide updates as available
